We went to the school with high hopes that I could finally do something worthwhile. My mentor was Ibu Rita. She let me introduce myself to every class that she is handling. All I can say is that the class showed no difference when it comes to the behavior of to the classes that I have been teaching in the Philippines. They are very fun to teach with I guess but when it comes to their English class, some of them are very silent and don’t talk that much. Ibu Rita also teach with Bahasa Indonesia so I couldn’t really understand her lesson. That is why it was hard for me to stay focused and listen attentively to whatever she was saying. Gladly my buddy, Dila reminded me to listen well because she will translate everything for me. The rest of the day went smooth. I had fun telling the students some stories about the Philippines. Some of them even gifted me “pop me” noodles (very spicy) and a cute ball pen. My mentor then gave me a copy of her schedule and also she said she give me a softcopy of her lesson plan on the next day.
